how can I connect multiple security Cameras to my computer?
It depends on the security camera.
Some security Cams are analog and use either wired or wireless connection to a composite video jack. That jack plugs into an RCA or BNC plug connected to a card in your computer or a multi-channel DVR that gets assigned an IP address and becomes a node on a computer network.
Some security cams have a chip in them that makes them a “Video Server” on a computer network, so the camera is assigned its own IP address.
